PNC Bank – Pittsburgh President Sy Holzer Addresses Bethany College 2012 Graduates

Sy Holzer, president of PNC Bank – Pittsburgh, spoke to Bethany College’s 2012 graduating class as part of the institution’s 172nd Anniversary Commencement Weekend. Holzer delivered his remarks, “Prepared for a Lifetime of Achievement and the Importance of Legacy and Appreciation,” to Bethany’s 135 graduates on May 12 outdoors at the Tilock Amphitheatre in the Pennington Quadrangle.

Bethany College Student Service Fellows Connect Classrooms and Community

The Service Learning Center at Bethany College announces the appointment of students Annie Grogan and Bethany Mullins as 2012-2013 Service Fellows. Johnson, President Emeritus of the Christian Church Foundation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), as speaker for the annual Baccalaureate service to be held Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in Commencement Hall, located in historic Old Main on the College campus.

Bethany College Announces Alumni Award Recipients

Bethany will present its annual awards honoring outstanding alumni at the Alumni Awards Dinner, Saturday, May 5, as a part of the College's Alumni Weekend events. Bethany will recognize Dr. Kathleen Downey '75 with the 2012 Alumni Achievement Award and Sharon Bogarad '76 with the 2012 award for Distinguished Service to Alma Mater.

Bethany Alumni, Leading Medical Professionals Present Future of Medicine Panel

Bethany will welcome four of the nation's leading medical professionals and College alumni back to campus on April 19 for a public panel on the Future of Medicine. The event will be held in Bethany's Mountainside Conference Center at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live online.

The 65th annual Darline Nicholson Spring Breakfast honoring Bethany College senior women will be held on Saturday, May 5 at 9:30 a.m. in Benedum Commons. It will feature Susan Lister '89 — Bethany alumna and senior specialist in global communications for Whirlpool — as guest speaker for the event.
